Current Consensus on Vaccination and Medications in Pregnant Women with COVID-19

Abstract

ABSTRACT: Pregnant women are not at increased risk of getting infected with COVID-19 as compared to the general population. But when infected with COVID, they are more likely to have a moderate to severe disease with needs of hospitalization and critical care. Moreover, the fetus is at risk due to ongoing hypoxia and inflammatory process. There are no proven therapies for COVID treatment and pregnancy is a further grayer zone with regarding to the treatment.
