Abstract

Uterine fibroid is the most common benign tumour of the female genital tract with an incidence of about 20-30% in women older than 35. Giant leiomyoma with cystic degeneration can mimic ovarian cysts, creating a diagnostic dilemma. Here we present a case of a large pedunculated subserosal fibroid with torsion and degenerative changes.
