ABSTRACT Spontaneous uterine rupture in a primigravida with unscarred uterus is a rare event and is associated with high perinatal and maternal morbidity and mortality. Congenital uterine anomalies may be associated with adverse reproductive outcome and uterine rupture in primigravida but this generally occurs in the first and second trimester of pregnancy. We present a case of spontaneous rupture of bicornuate uterus at term. Presence of uterine anomalies may act as an independent risk factor for spontaneous rupture.
