Abstract

Ovarian carcinosarcomas are rare tumors with incidence of 1-4% of malignant ovarian cancers. Ovarian carcinosarcoma commonly occurs between 60-70 years of age with 10% occur in premenopausal age group. It is composed of both malignant epithelial and mesenchymal components. A case of 47 year old, perimenopausal lady with postoperative diagnosis of ovarian carcinosarcoma is discussed.
